Creating a streamlined, content-first digital experience for Livity Life

Overview:

Livity Life specialises in assistive care for the elderly, offering in-store services and products designed to support independent living. As the business evolved, its digital presence needed to better reflect its focus on accessible, informative and supportive care.

Having previously worked with Livity Life on their Magento website, Ayko was brought in to deliver a full replatform and redesign. The goal was to move away from unnecessary ecommerce functionality and create a content-led platform that was easier to manage, while introducing a more professional and medically aligned brand identity.

The Challenge

Livity Life’s existing website was built on Magento, a platform that no longer aligned with the needs of the business. With no requirement for ecommerce functionality, the site had become overly complex and difficult to manage.

Content updates were time consuming, limiting the team’s ability to keep information current and relevant. This reduced opportunities to improve visibility and engagement, particularly in an area where clear, accessible content is essential.

The new site needed to achieve several key objectives from the outset:

Transition to a content-first platform that is easy to manage and update
Remove unnecessary ecommerce functionality to simplify the user experience
Refresh the brand to feel more professional, clear and aligned with a medical audience
Alongside this, the experience needed to be designed with the end user in mind, ensuring information was easy to navigate and understand for an older audience.

The Approach

Ayko designed and developed a new Webflow website that prioritised clarity, usability and content accessibility.

The approach focused on creating a clean and intuitive experience that made it easier for users to find and understand key information, while ensuring the platform was simple for the Livity Life team to manage internally. Particular attention was given to how content was structured and presented. Information was simplified and organised to avoid overwhelming users, with clear navigation and thoughtful layouts that support ease of use for an older demographic.

The project also introduced a refreshed visual identity, bringing a more modern and professional tone to the brand while maintaining familiarity for existing users.

Key elements of the solution included:

  • Migration from Magento to Webflow, removing unnecessary functionality and enabling a flexible CMS
  • A simplified, content-led user experience designed around clarity and accessibility
  • A refreshed visual design aligned with a more medical and professional brand direction
  • Structured onboarding and training to ensure the client could confidently manage the new platform
  • Ongoing collaboration through regular check-ins to support a smooth transition
