The Challenge

Cleanology partnered with Ayko with a clear set of goals: increase lead volume, improve lead quality, and maintain or reduce cost per acquisition (CPA).

A long-standing client of Ayko, Cleanology sought support across SEO, Paid Media, and PR to elevate their brand visibility, boost performance marketing efforts, and transition to a more agile digital presence.

A key priority was to build backlinks from high Domain Authority (DA) sites through digital PR, helping improve organic rankings and trust signals. Cleanology also wanted to expand their reach to national, consumer, and regional media outlets, as well as trade-specific publications in cleaning, hygiene, and facilities management.

Most recently, Cleanology sought Ayko’s expertise to replace their outdated WordPress website that lacked flexibility, limiting our ability to scale marketing campaigns. With an upcoming rebrand and a tight ten-week launch window, Cleanology needed a complete design and development overhaul to reflect their new identity and drive conversions.

Amid a post-pandemic focus on hygiene, they also wanted to raise public awareness about proper handwashing, connecting brand visibility with meaningful public health messaging.

The Solution

Ayko took a multi-channel, integrated approach to meet Cleanology’s objectives.

Digital PR

The PR team developed a research-led campaign titled “British Office Workers’ Shocking Hygiene Habits.” To generate newsworthy content, Ayko partnered with a third-party research provider to survey UK office workers about handwashing behaviours. This enabled the team to uncover headline-grabbing statistics to support a press release and accompanying infographic, positioning Cleanology as a thought leader in workplace hygiene.

The assets were distributed to national, consumer, regional, and trade publications, earning widespread media attention and backlinks to Cleanology’s office cleaning landing pages.

Website Redesign and Webflow Development

Ayko redesigned and rebuilt Cleanology’s website in Webflow, using a low-code, modular development approach. The new site launched within the ten-week deadline, showcasing the rebrand with a fresh look, improved UX, and an emphasis on conversion. Flexible modules allow the client to easily build new pages, while design decisions were guided by CRO best practices to maximise lead generation.

Paid Media Optimisation

To enhance PPC performance, Ayko restructured Cleanology’s paid media strategy by shifting the conversion focus from phone calls to form submissions, resulting in higher lead quality. They implemented first-party data tactics, including Negative Customer Match lists, to filter out disqualified leads and improve targeting. Enhanced Conversions were set up to capture customer data at the point of conversion, enabling more accurate optimisation and reporting. The keyword strategy prioritised long-tail, low-competition terms, reducing CPCs by 80%. Ayko diversified the campaign mix by introducing Display, Performance Max, and Demand Gen campaigns, expanding reach while mitigating rising search costs. Continuous asset and copy testing refined ad performance, and advanced Google Ads tagging ensured data-driven insights and precise measurement.
