About the role

AYKO is on the lookout for an SEO expert who’s looking for a step forward in their career! With this role, we’re looking for someone who wants to manage their own team of SEO specialists with support from our SEO Account Director. We’re not expecting you to know everything about running a department but someone with a strong SEO background who’s looking to accelerate their career with the right support. We’re looking for someone who knows their stuff when it comes to SEO, with the ambition to grow and manage a team independently.

We’ve designed a programme to support the right person with the knowledge, training and tools to thrive within this role. All of our team receive individually tailored training plans designed to help them progress their career at AYKO. All that we require is the right person with the right mindset with a hunger for long-term success and evidence of strong SEO experience.
As a key part of the Digital Marketing team, you’ll be the manager for our SEO & Digital PR services. You’ll work with a portfolio of existing clients as well as building our portfolio and growing our revenue opportunities.

Working alongside our SEO Account Director, you’ll have the freedom to use your expertise to shape our strategy as your ambitions and our clients demand.

An SEO Manager will…

Be responsible for managing a team of SEO experts including planning work, and managing the SEO strategy
Be the point of escalation for any SEO issues for clients
Manage client communication and relationships for all SEO clients
Oversee the SEO strategy for all clients
Support the SEO Account Director on wider department goals
Support the SEO Account Director on a cross-sell strategy for upselling SEO services to existing clients
Monitor and analyse search engine performance and trends
Manage the new business strategy with the SEO Account director for new SEO opportunities

Our ideal candidate will have…

4+ years of SEO experience and an understanding of Google’s best practices
Keep the wider team up to date on SEO best practice
Experience of managing SEO strategies for e-commerce clients
Experience managing SEO migrations for new website builds
Experience of managing SEO strategy and forecasting
Strong client relationship and communication skills
Strong presentation and pitching skills
Competent using Microsoft Excel/Google sheets
Strong Google Analytics skills
Experience using a suite of SEO tools across technical, content and digital PR

Other Desirable Skills…

Experience with Magento and Shopify
Experience in digital PR
Leading a Digital PR strategy
Existing line management skills managing a team of SEO experts
Experience with other marketing channels is beneficial
