Paid Media Account Director

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded Paid Media Account Director to lead our paid media team, drive results for our clients, and shape the future of our performance marketing offering.

What You'll Do:

As a key part of the Digital Marketing team, you’ll be the lead for our paid media services. You’ll work with a portfolio of existing clients as well as build our portfolio and grow our revenue opportunities.

We’ve designed a programme to support the right person with the knowledge, training and tools to thrive within this role. All that we require is the right person with the right mindset with a hunger for long-term success and evidence of strong paid media experience.

Here’s the contribution this role will make to our business:

  • Lead the Paid Media Strategy & Execution: This is a hands-on role and you’ll need to be able to design and deliver a paid media strategy with a particular focus on PPC and implementation for our clients and potential clients. Working with clients to ensure that they meet their goals and targets with knowledgeable advice and expertise
  • Client & Account Leadership: Be the senior point of contact for key accounts, providing strategic counsel and driving value for clients. You’ll lead quarterly reviews, performance insights, and growth recommendations, supporting long-term client retention and satisfaction
  • Growth & Revenue Generation: You’ll be responsible for maximising the opportunities for our existing Paid Media clients, ensuring that we deliver great value for their budgets and that we make recommendations for their strategy that will provide mutual benefit
  • Building the Paid Media portfolio: You’ll look for opportunities both internally and externally to pro-actively grow our Paid Media portfolio, to ensure that it continues to be an area of opportunity for our agency. This will include support with new business forecasts and client pitches
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring: Build and lead a high-performing paid media team. You’ll mentor and support team members, nurture career growth, and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Budget Oversight: Manage and optimise client budgets to ensure efficient delivery of KPIs and maximum ROI
  • Process Development & Innovation: Refine our paid media delivery processes, ensuring operational efficiency, scalable workflows, and excellence in execution. You’ll continuously seek to improve how we work
  • Industry Relationships & Partnerships: Own relationships with media partners (e.g., Google, Microsoft Ads), staying ahead of platform updates, BETA access, and trends to drive innovation across client accounts
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the agency in the market through speaking opportunities, content contributions, and industry engagement. You’ll elevate our brand presence and reputation in the paid media space

What We're Looking For:

  • Agency Experience: A seasoned leader from a digital or ecommerce agency background building confident, commercial relationships across a number of different brands
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: A proven ability to align media strategies with commercial goals, balancing client needs with agency growth priorities.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: You’ve led and grown a team and are passionate about developing others. You foster a high-performance, collaborative environment.
  • Paid Media Expertise: Deep knowledge of PPC (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads), with working experience across broader paid media channels (e.g., social, display, video).
  • Analytical Mindset: Data-driven and comfortable translating insights into action. You understand performance metrics and how to communicate ROI clearly.
  • Process & Operational Thinking: Able to evaluate existing workflows and implement improvements for scalability, quality, and innovation.

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 DOE
