Overview:

Metlex is a premium product range from Croydex, created for professional specifiers, architects and interior designers. As part of a rebrand, the business needed a dedicated online presence that reflected the quality of the products while supporting product discovery, technical evaluation and future ecommerce growth.

Metlex, a product line owned by Croydex, needed a new website following a rebrand. The aim was to create a digital presence that brought the brand to life, showcased its premium product range and launched in time for a key industry event. Working to a tight deadline and with no previous web presence to build from, Ayko delivered a bespoke Adobe Commerce experience that combined technical depth with elevated design.

The Challenge

Metlex needed a completely new website to support its rebrand and launch the brand online for the first time. With the project beginning in November 2025 and a required go live date February 2026, the site had to be designed, built and launched within a condensed delivery window that also included the Christmas period.

The new site had to achieve several objectives from the outset:

Establish a premium new online presence for the Metlex brand
Meet a fixed launch deadline tied to an important event
Support both inspirational browsing and technical product research
With no previous site data or legacy user journey to inform the build, the experience had to be shaped around the needs of the target audience from the ground up while still aligning closely with the new brand direction.

The Approach

Ayko designed and developed a bespoke Adobe Commerce site that balanced premium brand storytelling with practical product exploration.

The focus was on creating a clean, modern and contemporary experience that felt editorial in style and made the most of Metlex’s product photography and brand imagery. Rather than relying on a standard theme, the site used extensive custom styling and tailored functionality to better reflect the identity of the brand.

Because the audience is largely B2B, including architects and interior designers, the experience also needed to support more considered research journeys. This meant combining inspirational content with technical detail, helping users explore finishes, shapes, sizes and configurable options while also giving them easy access to specifications, downloads and contact routes.
