A Junior UI/Web Designer will…

Create full site designs and take the initiative of the creative direction
Design for a variety of other projects including social media, email, audit documents - for both client and internal marketing
Be able to stick to a brief and within any platform constraints, whilst offering innovative tweaks to keep designs modern and unique
Confidently be able to discuss design decisions/reasonings both internally and to clients
Have the desire to expand their knowledge to other areas of outside of just design, including A/B testing, Pagebuilder, Theme Customization, Email, Wireframing

Our ideal candidate will have…

Confident experience working in Adobe Creative Suite Software (Photoshop, Illustrator etc)
Some understanding of HTML and CSS
Knowledge of current and upcoming digital design trends alongside knowledge of best-practice and compliance
Have a keen eye for detail
Strong organisational skills - someone who can manage their own time independently with support from the rest of the Creative Team
A good standard of English language and grammar

Other desirable skills…

Experience working in Figma, Sketch or Invision
Some understanding of Google Analytics, Google Optimise and/or Google Tag Manager or A/b testing in general
Knowledge of Shopify and Magento 2 e-commerce platforms, including a working knowledge of the admin/backend areas
Confidence in leading the entire creative elements of a project/task
Experience working across multiple projects/clients at once

We expect to be able to view a portfolio of your work, whether this be a URL link or PDF format, that highlights your skills and high quality level of work.

At AYKO we’re currently working with a combination of remote and face-to-face working. We are flexible with our people working from home, or our Leeds city centre HQ, providing candidates are able to travel to Leeds once or twice a week.

Salary of £20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience
